The AL005 diffuse reflection sensor has an especially compact rectangular design and features exceptionally interference-proof background suppression, ensuring reliable operation even with strongly reflective backgrounds. The diffuse reflection sensor uses laser light of laser class 1, which is collimated in a narrow beam and is therefore particularly suitable for detecting very small components.Light-on and dark-on mode can be set via the programming buttons to configure the sensor according to the application. The AL005 reliably detects the target, irrespective of the colour of the object to be detected, at a range of 1 … 100 mm.
The sensor supplies a normal switching signal. If the sensor is operated with IO-Link, it can also transmit the distance as a linearised process value. Parameterisation of the AL005 is additionally possible with IO-Link.
The AL005 is also available as a red light variant, the AO024.
