The io-key can be used immediately in numerous countries – including all DACH states, many European markets as well as the USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa.

Note: The integrated mobile connection works automatically in all listed countries – no SIM card change, no roaming effort.

The io-key impresses with its genuine plug & play approach: an IO-Link sensor is connected, powered up and immediately ready for operation – without a PLC, programming or complex setup. Commissioning takes only a few seconds.

In addition, the io-key offers powerful edge functions:

  • Local switching function that works reliably even without a mobile or cloud connection
  • Edge-based alerts, which require an active mobile connection

For cloud connectivity you have maximum flexibility:

  • direct use of autosen.cloud
  • or integration into existing systems such as AWS, Azure or a private cloud

Setup is completed in just a few minutes:

Step 1: Registration on start.autosen.cloud

  • One-time registration when using your first io-key
  • Define which target cloud (autosen.cloud or an external platform) your devices will be connected to
  • All additional io-keys are then automatically assigned to this cloud

Step 2: Power the device

  • Connect the io-key
  • Switch on the device → automatic sensor detection starts

Step 3: Connect sensor(s) and analyse data

  • Connect up to two IO-Link sensors simultaneously
  • Analyse measurement data directly in the cloud – e.g. via dashboards, alarm manager or export functions

Node-RED is a graphical low-code development platform that allows you to create data flows and processes easily via drag and drop. Using pre-built function blocks (“nodes”), data can be received, processed, visualised or connected to other systems.

The io-key integrates seamlessly into Node-RED:

  • Your IO-Link sensor data is transmitted by the io-key to autosen.cloud.
  • From there, it can be conveniently integrated into your flow via our own Node-RED plugins.
  • In Node-RED you can then create individual dashboards, logic or forwarding to third-party systems – without any programming effort.

This makes Node-RED ideal for flexibly processing io-key data further or building customer-specific IoT workflows.
