Your motto: Fight to the finish line!

This is the German Rowing League!

The Mülheim sprint team has been part of the German Rowing League since the beginning. The first titles were won by the first generation of the Mülheim sprint team. In 2018, the team was reorganised and a newly formed eight team was presented. In addition to motivation and discipline, the team from Mülheim has one thing above all else:
A passion for racing!

autosen gmbh has been supporting the team in achieving its goals since 2023. With their new autosen green boat "minion", the first milestones were set and the team's agility was promoted.

What is the German Rowing League anyway?

The German Rowing League is organised by the German Rowing Association. The league system offers the fastest sprint eights in Germany the opportunity to compete against each other on three to five race days a year in order to crown the "league champion" at the end of the season. On a race day, each position is contested in a knockout system over five races until a daily winner is determined at the end of the race day. The race days take place across Germany or in the home town of Mülheim.

  1. The first day of racing in the 2023 German Rowing League did not start quite as expected for the team in Bad Segeberg. The team was unable to build on its good results and only achieved a bitter 5th place.

  2. With more motivation, the team travelled to Kassel two weeks later. And the race day was completely different from the very first race. With more speed and determination, the long-awaited victory was there!

  3. One of the highlights of 2023 was the home race day in Mülheim. It couldn't have been better - with autosen gmbh on board for the first time and another race day win, taking the lead in the standings in front of a home crowd. There could not have been a better debut for autosen gmbh.

  4. For the fourth race day, the team was invited to the current second in the standings: arch-enemy Münster. Here, the team managed to complete the hat-trick and extend its lead in the standings.

  5. But the season was not over yet. The team was invited to the beautiful Hanseatic city of Hamburg for the RBL final. A race day that turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster for the team. Unfortunately, no place on the podium! But their very good and consistent performance throughout the season, with three race day victories, made their dream of becoming "LIGACHAMPION" possible.

  6. The German Sprint Championships took place in Heidelberg at the end of the rowing season. In addition to various small and medium-sized boats, our team also competed in their eight. In the strong field of men's eights, the team managed to make it straight into the final by winning the preliminary heat. Unfortunately, the team was beaten in the final by 8 hundredths of a second by the men from Kölner RV. So 2nd place and German vice sprint champion!

  7. "Have a good trip and always a hand's breadth of water under your keel!" This was how the weekend started at the boat launch of the new boat "minion" for the Mülheim sprint team. The boat minion will hopefully accompany the team to many more successes in the coming years!

  1. The kick-off for the 2024 German Rowing League took place in Minden. Despite the recurring rain, the team from Mülheim didn't let it get them down and got the season off to a great start: A time trial win, commanding victories in the 1/8, ¼ and ½ finals and, as the icing on the cake, a triumphant victory in the final against the local heroes from Minden.

  2. An unforgettable day of racing - and all as part of the Shnetzcup, one of the biggest international inland events in the northern German region. But things didn't quite work out on this race day: The form that had allowed them to shine in Minden had suddenly disappeared. In the semi-final, they were beaten by the time trial winner from Frankfurt, but a true sporting spirit is not easily discouraged! With even more motivation, they went on to the small final, where the team secured the bronze medal.

  3. The season finale in Mülheim could hardly have been better - home race day, home advantage! But the day was more like a rollercoaster ride of emotions. But with the support of the home crowd, the sprint team persevered and dominated every race. In the end, they celebrated their first place in the standings and the successful defence of their title.
minion fulfilled - the title stays in Mülheim!

New year, same mission: defend the title!

In 2025, we will once again proudly stand alongside the Mülheim sprint team. We're really looking forward to supporting you again in 2025 and cheering every stroke with you on 14 June in Mülheim - right up to the finish line and beyond!
