You can change your password in two ways:

  1. In the logged-in area:
    Go to “My account” in the header and select “Change password”. Enter your current password and your new desired password and click “Save password”.
  2. Without logging in (forgotten password):
    Click “Log in” and then, next to “Forgot password?”, click “Request now!”. Enter your email address and click “Request new password”. You will then receive an email with further steps.

To do this, go to “My account” in the header and then to “My account overview”. Then, in the settings on the left, click “Change email address”. Enter your new email address and your current password and then confirm by clicking “Change email address”.

To do this, simply go to “My account” in the header. Under “Manage addresses” you can manage your stored addresses. Using the “Edit address” field with the pencil icon, existing addresses can be edited. New addresses can be created via the “+ New address” button.

The best price guarantee applies to all products in the autosen online shop and is valid until the end of 2025. It applies if a technically identical or equivalent product with a valid CE marking is offered at a lower price by a reputable online retailer in the EU/EEA.

You will find the document numbers at the top right of the order confirmation or invoice. These numbers start with the financial year followed by a seven-digit combination of numbers.

Shipping & delivery

Within Germany, shipping costs a flat rate of €5.55. From an order value of €50 we deliver free of charge. Different shipping costs may apply for deliveries abroad – an overview can be found during checkout or on our shipping page.

In addition to the one-off hardware investment, there are ongoing operating costs for running a minion solution – for example for the connected cloud platform and the mobile network connection.

Depending on your needs, these fees can be billed monthly, annually (with a 10% discount) or as a 3-year prepaid option (with a 20% discount).

Thanks to the lean mobile communication architecture, operating costs are very low compared with classic solutions with their own IP infrastructure. In addition, a dedicated cloud instance is available from as little as €5 per month.

Yes, both the measurement and transmission intervals can be configured flexibly. The sensor measures independently of data transmission and buffers the values internally at first in order to conserve the battery. Via the cloud you can:

  • set the measurement interval, e.g. from once per second to once per day
  • set the transmission interval, e.g. from once per minute to once per week

The basic rule is: the more frequently measurements are taken and transmitted, the more energy is consumed. In the factory settings, the minion measures once per hour and transmits the data once a day.

In the standard configuration (measurement roughly every 60 minutes, data transmission once a day) the battery life is around 375 days.

The actual runtime depends, among other things, on:

  • the selected measurement and transmission intervals
  • the ambient temperature
  • the quality of the mobile network connection

With very short intervals, low temperatures or frequent transmissions, a reduced battery life should be expected and a battery replacement or external power supply planned if necessary.

Yes, the minion is designed for outdoor applications. With protection class IP67 the device is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion, and can therefore also be used in harsh environments and at hard-to-reach locations. For permanent outdoor use, additional factors such as temperature range, exposure to UV radiation, mounting location and mobile network coverage should be taken into account.

The minion transmits its data via modern IoT mobile communication standards such as LTE-M and NB-IoT, which often provide good coverage even inside buildings and in hard-to-reach areas. If no usable network is available at the location, the sensor can continue measuring, but cannot immediately send the data to the cloud – transmission then takes place later as soon as reception is available again.

Using the “minion IoT-Sensor” app, connection problems can be analysed and measures to optimise the network can be discussed together with the support team.

Yes, there is a dedicated minion IoT-Sensor app available for iOS and Android.

The app serves as a local service interface and is mainly used for:

  • commissioning and basic configuration
  • firmware updates
  • reading device logs and parameters via Bluetooth
  • diagnostics and support cases

The actual visualisation and evaluation of the measurement data takes place conveniently in the connected cloud (dashboards, alarms, exports, etc.).

The minion sensors send their values directly to the cloud via the mobile network. There are two typical scenarios:

  • using autosen.cloud as a ready-to-use platform
  • connecting to your own cloud environment via an MQTT broker

In addition, the minion can be used together with io-key gateways – both systems can run in the same cloud instance and deliver their data there in combination.

The sensors are generally supplied with a suitable base bracket (e.g. screw mounting with M5 on the MV001). For different applications, accessories such as magnetic or adhesive adapters are also available, allowing the sensor to be securely fixed to many surfaces.

It is important to have a clean, as smooth as possible contact surface and a stable mechanical connection – in particular for vibration measurements.

Yes, standard industrial sensors with a 4–20 mA output can be connected via the analogue adapter (MD001). This allows, for example, existing pressure, flow or other process sensors to be integrated into the minion system. The current signal value is converted into a meaningful process value in the cloud or gateway and can then be linked to alarm rules, thresholds or other logic.

The measurement data recorded by the minion is transmitted in a structured form to the connected cloud and can be further processed from there in Node-RED.

Using suitable nodes, you can:

  • receive and process data streams
  • create dashboards and visualisations
  • model automations and alerts
  • implement interfaces to other systems

This makes Node-RED ideal for integrating minion data into your own IoT processes without extensive programming effort.

io-key®

The io-key is a wireless gateway that connects IO-Link sensors directly to the cloud without any detours – completely without a PLC or complex IT infrastructure. As a 2-port IO-Link master, it can read two sensors at the same time and make their data available online immediately.

The io-key is fully IO-Link compatible and therefore works with thousands of sensors from a wide range of manufacturers. Thanks to plug-and-play, it automatically recognises connected sensors. Sensors without IO-Link can also be integrated via suitable adapter modules.

Communication takes place wirelessly via modern mobile communication standards such as LTE-M. If LTE-M fails or is not available, the io-key automatically switches to a 2G fallback and thus remains reachable.

The io-key is particularly suitable:

  • for retrofitting existing systems
  • for monitoring mobile machines
  • for monitoring critical installations, or
  • wherever wireless condition monitoring is required.

Thanks to LTE-M and 2G, the io-key can be used in many regions of Europe as well as in other countries. The eSIM can be used globally – a current list of supported countries can be found online. Thanks to the 2G fallback, a connection is usually possible even in areas with only partial coverage.

Registration is carried out via start.autosen.cloud:

  • enter your customer number (from the invoice)
  • add the device’s IMEI (on the back)
  • assign a cloud instance

After registration, sensor data automatically appears in your user account. Repeat orders are assigned automatically.

The following are required:

  • IO-Link cables for ports 1 & 2
  • a suitable 24 V DC power supply
  • compatible IO-Link sensors

Optional accessories such as power supplies, cables or mounting material are available separately.

No. The io-key is optimised for IO-Link, but by using additional modules (e.g. digital or analogue inputs) it can also send classic sensors with 4–20 mA or binary signals to the cloud.

The flat rate for the SIM card and cloud service is charged at the beginning of each month. Annual payment is possible and also offers a 10% price advantage. Longer terms are available on request.

Depending on the tariff, data is transmitted:

  • once a day
  • every hour
  • every minute
  • or every 10 seconds

The choice depends on the intended application.

Yes. All values are stored historically on request and can be exported as CSV, XLSX or via REST APIs. This means that measurement data can easily be integrated into external analyses, reporting tools or predictive maintenance projects.

If you already have your own infrastructure, sensor data can be transmitted directly to it – for example to AWS, Azure or private cloud environments.

The solution handles the complete pre-processing of the sensor data and transfers it in a standardised and immediately usable form via MQTT to the desired broker. This makes it ideal for integrators, software vendors and IT teams operating professional IoT architectures.
