The right sensor cable. PUR or PVC?

When cabling, the question arises: "PUR or PVC?". What is actually the difference and which type of cable is best suited for my application?

PUR cable

Cables equipped with a PUR coating are mechanically heavy-duty. They can, e.g., be used in drag chains, as they can withstand several million bending cycles. Furthermore, seeing as PUR cables are highly resistant to oils and chemicals, they are frequently used in the machine tool and automation industry.

PVC cable

PVC-coated cables are generally used in the foodstuffs industry and wet zones. PVC cables are not quite as mechanically robust as PUR cables, but withstand chemicals and cleaning agents well.
