Description

The retro-reflective, polarised area sensor AO501 is a retro-reflective sensor which is used in combination with a reflector. Thanks to the reflector, the sensor performs both the transmitter and receiver function with a switching frequency of 400 Hz. With a sensing range of 0.2 to 4.5 m, a detection height of 69 mm and an optical distance of 10 mm, the AO501 is ideal for a wide range of applications in industrial automation. It reliably detects objects from 6 mm in diameter and therefore ensures precise detection of even small parts. The sensor offers two teach-in types (fine and standard) for optimum adaptation to different operating conditions as well as a fade-out function which reliably suppresses interfering reflections. The AO501 can be flexibly integrated into modern control environments via the digital PNP-NO+NC / IO-Link output. NO or NC contacts can also be programmed as required, opening up additional application options. The robust housing with an IP67 protection rating ensures high resistance to dust and moisture and means that it can be used even in harsh industrial environments.
