DescriptionThe AF006 binary level sensor with process connection and the high protection ratings of IP68 / IP69K is suitable for limit detection of water and water-based media, oils, oil-based media, coolants and powder-type media.
It is pre-set for water-based media. The factory setting suffices in many cases, but the sensitivity and other functions can also be adjusted to suit the application in question. For instance, a switching delay can be set to mask out the effects of spray, wave motion and air bubbles. Please contact us if you have any questions on parametrization. The AF006’s strong point can be seen in its special sensor principle that suppresses the effects of adhesion or foam formation.
It’s two programmable switching outputs (normally open / normally closed) can be parametrized via the digital IO-Link communication interface. With the aid of a welding adapter the sensor can be rear-mounted into a pipe of variable length. This allows for the definition of different actuation points. You will find a mounting example in our know-how section.
In addition to limit detection, the process temperature can be measured at the probe tip. It should be borne in mind that the temperature measurement can only be carried out via the IO-Link interface with acyclical data querying if the probe tip is sufficiently covered by the medium during the measurement.
