Transmitter and receiver of the AO001 diffuse reflection sensor are incorporated in one compact stainless steel housing. The emitted red light is reflected by the object to be detected and is detected and evaluated by the receiver integrated in the sensor. This allows direct detection without further tools and accessories. Thanks to the robust stainless steel housing, AO001 features protection rating IP65, IP67, IP68 and IP69K and is thus suited for standard applications as well as the food industry and wet areas. The strength of the AO001 diffuse reflection sensor is the reliable background suppression, even in case of highly-reflective backgrounds, and the automatic sensitivity compensation in case of vapour and smoke.
