Process sensors

Process sensors detect and monitor process variables wherever liquids and gases are used in industrial processes. Process sensors can be used in many applications, but must be precisely adapted to the measured medium, pressure and temperature conditions in the application. They measure the respective process variables and forward them to the controller. Read more here

Process sensors

Process sensors are used wherever liquids and gases are involved in industrial applications. They register and monitor process data. Process sensors can be employed in a very broad range of applications. However, they must be designed exactly according to the requirements dictated by the medium to be measured, the pressures and the temperatures involved in the application. Process sensors of various kinds have been especially designed for monitoring the process values: filling level, temperature, pressure and flow / throughput. They measure the process values concerned and transmit them to the control unit.

Pressure sensors are used to register and monitor system pressure and hydrostatic pressure. Flow sensors measure and monitor the flow rate and flow quantity. Level sensors monitor and register filling levels in tanks, silos and other containers. Temperature sensors measure and monitor the temperature of media and systems.

Areas of application for process sensors

Process sensors are used in the foodstuffs industry, chemical industry, hydraulic applications and waste water technology, amongst others. They fulfil tasks such as:
  • Pressure registration for pneumatic and hydraulic applications
  • Measurement of and information about current filling levels
  • Temperature registration in critical processes
  • Flow meters
