Questions and answers about io-key & autosen.cloud
The Narrowband-IoT network is currently (as of April 2019) being expanded throughout Europe. Deutsche Telekom plans to complete network expansion in Germany by the end of 2019. If NB-IoT is not available, the io-key will transmit into the existing and well-developed 2G network and can, therefore, be operated in Europe without any problems.
Deep building penetration and high network coverage: +20 dB transmitting power enables transmission down to basement level.
Low data consumption: Optimised transmission protocols significantly reduce data consumption. Only the really relevant sensor data is transmitted.
Up to 100 times as many end devices per radio cell: A radio cell has a maximum number of devices. NB-IoT allows significantly more devices into the cell and thus ensures reliable data transmission.
Low power consumption: The NB-IoT radio modules are optimised for low energy consumption.
Secure data transmission: End-to-end transmission in your own VPN network protects the data very efficiently.
The io-key can be operated in the following countries at the time of the launch (April 2019):
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland
Is this your first time using an io-key? Then you will receive an invoice. On it, you will find your customer number. On the rear of the io-key, you will find the IMEI (serial number of the io-key). The combination of IMEI and customer number allows you to register for the first time to autosen.cloud, including assigning the name of your own cloud.
Subsequently, you can enter your user name and view your sensor data directly. It’s that easy.
Go to the registration process!
By the way... If you repeatedly order an io-key, it will be automatically assigned to your cloud account. Further registration is not necessary.
You need connection cables to connect the sensors or actuators to the two IO-Link ports 1 & 2. In addition, you need a power supply (DC 24 V); you can of course use our suitable power supply - and matching IO-Link sensors, also from autosen.com.
Go to the standard accessories.
The io-key is a gateway optimised for IO-Link technology. IO-Link sensors work via plug&play and transfer your process values directly into the cloud; without complex configuration. At the moment, the io-key only works with IO-Link sensors.
Billing of the monthly flat rate always takes place on the 1st calendar day of a month.
Not interested in monthly billing? No problem. Contact us via our service hotline and we will change your contract to annual billing, or select the option "annual payment method" directly at the time of purchase. This will save you 10%.
Call now and change to receive the invoice for the following year by the 1st of the following month.
The io-key comes with an onboard SIM card. The data transmission is a flat rate and billed together with the cloud service in the monthly debit model, depending on the respective variant (XS, S, M, L). The SIM card works in almost all European countries.
There are four different models with different transmission intervals: XS=1x / day, S=1x / hour, M=1x / minute, L=1x / 10 seconds.
Not yet. autosen is working on extending the service so that in the future it will also be possible to connect non-IO-Link-capable sensors to the io-key.
